The Sprit of Christmas

We had a great Sunday morning thinking and reflecting on the Spirit of Christmas, led by Gillian Francis. Gillian inspired us all and gave us lots to think about and take away.

It was really good to be at the heart of Big Life celebrations, including being part of choosing a name for a beautiful new born baby girl. Esther was the name chosen. Real family time! 

The day was of course punctuated with food. Chinese and Indian - apparently best served together! Followed by authentic chicken biryani, chicken tikka butter masala and chicken and cheese kabab a few hours later. I may not be recognisable by the end of this week! 

This afternoon we had a lovely time with Madhu, a friend connected through our Talitha partnership. Madhu is utterly committed to serving the girls and women she works with here in Kolkata. She works closely with a number of organisations transforming the lives of survivors of trafficking through training and employability.
